Age and rental conditions

We do not set any additional minimum age. Anyone who holds the driving licence required for the vehicle they wish to rent may drive it, provided they meet the applicable legal requirements.

Yes. Drivers aged between 18 and 21 may rent and drive vehicles as long as they hold the appropriate driving licence. An additional surcharge applies in this case. Please check the amount before confirming your booking.

Only people who are authorised and listed in the rental agreement may drive the vehicle. You may not allow the vehicle to be driven by any unauthorised driver.

No. Taking the vehicle off the island of Ibiza is strictly prohibited.

No. Driving on beach sand or on unpaved roads or tracks is prohibited.

Deposit and additional charges

Yes. A deposit of €100 is required to rent a vehicle.

Late returns are charged at €6 per hour, for up to a maximum of three hours. If the delay exceeds three hours, the full deposit amount (€100) will be charged.

The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level it had when it was collected. If it is returned with less fuel, you will be charged for the missing fuel, plus a refuelling surcharge.

The loss of documents, tools and accessories (excluding keys) incurs a charge of €31. Lost or damaged keys are subject to an additional charge in accordance with the rental conditions.

The renter is responsible for any fines and costs arising from traffic offences or breaches of the laws and regulations during the rental period.

Insurance and accidents

The insurance taken out by Topo Moto includes third-party liability cover up to the limit specified in the policy, as well as a legal bond and defence in the event of criminal proceedings. The specific terms and conditions depend on the insurance policy in force.

No. Windows and glass are not included in the cover specified in the rental conditions.

No. Loss of, theft of or damage to belongings carried in the rental vehicle is not covered by the insurance.

In the event of an accident caused by negligence, the rental conditions provide for an excess of €300, in addition to the amount applicable for the number of days the vehicle remains in the workshop.

In the event of an accident, you must:
  • Do not admit or prejudge responsibility for the accident.
  • Immediately notify the authorities when the other party is responsible.
  • Collect all the details of the other party involved.
  • Complete the accident report and send it to Topo Moto as soon as possible.
  • In the event of a serious accident, also notify the company by phone.
The rental conditions state that if no authorities attend the scene, the insurance will not accept responsibility for the incident.

Use of the vehicle

No. It is prohibited to use the rental vehicle in sporting events or activities.

No. The rental vehicle must not be used to push or tow other vehicles.

Returns and repairs

Any change to the return date, time or location must receive prior authorisation from Topo Moto.

Topo Moto will cover the cost of lubrication, oil changes and minor repairs during the rental period, up to a maximum of €4, provided that the expenses are supported by the relevant receipts. For repairs costing more than €4, prior authorisation from Topo Moto is required.

Punctures are not included among the minor repairs covered by Topo Moto. Before any work is carried out, you must contact the company and follow its instructions.
